Oh, Really, now?

Senator John McCain (R-pathetic "christian right" lackey) says that "students should decide" whether "intelligent design" should be taught or accepted as true.


I tell you what, if i was a high-school student, i'd be having a field day with that idea:


Now, the reporter covering the sotry speculates that McCain wouldn't likely endorse the same subjective approach to other facets of the scholastic experience, but realistically, once you open the proverbial floodgates to one subjective approach to a subject, it becomes gross hypocrisy to not grant the same wide berth to that approach elsewhere. I mean we see the "make shit up and defend it as hard fact" approach enough from politicians, talking heads and Bush apologists all the time, so why not let the kids apply it to their homework?
